Heavyweight began when our winemaker stumbled upon a barrel of Cabernet that stood out from the rest—bold, full-bodied, and yet smooth, thanks to its soft tannins. That discovery inspired a philosophy we’ve followed ever since: crafting richly flavored, well-balanced wines with a clean, silky finish. “I consider myself the ‘Blendologist’ of the family. For me, blending is the most creative and enjoyable part of winemaking.” At Heavyweight, blending is our signature move. It allows us to create wines with depth, character, and complexity. Some blends bring structure and fullness; others contribute elegance, aroma, and finesse. Each release is carefully crafted to showcase the best expression of its varietals. Sourced from top vineyards across California, our wines reflect both the diversity of the region and our commitment to quality.
